I'm glad to see the tradition of taking food to the homes of the severely ill continue. This is an old fashioned way of helping one's neighbor that could easily die out in this era of reduced personal connections. You're a good person.

When I was on bedrest, strangers even signed up at the school my DH once taught at to bring us food. A friend orchestated the sign-ups, and I can't imagine now trying to go through all of that without all the help we received.
