What does a frugal vacation look like?

March 9th, 2006 at 06:03 am

1. You drive the 6-7 hours it takes to get there.

2. You plan on making all of your meals and shop ahead of time.

3. You plan on eating sandwiches on the road instead of stopping somewhere for lunch.

4. You go when your company subsidizes part of the trip, rather than when it's most convenient for you.

5. You check out books from the library for entertainment during the drive for your 6-year-old.

Yep, that's pretty much our frugal vacation. And it's going to be fun! Big Grin

    LOL - no corporation here - it's a family-owned biz. Wink

Those are the best vacations. I just had a corporate trip...Sunny Florida. I managed to stay 1 1/2 days extra for close to nothing.
