Submitting my tutoring site

February 20th, 2006 at 03:07 am

I did a Google search for "homeschool math tutor" and found a few sites to submit my tutoring site to this evening. Hopefully it will get added and send some more traffic and business my way. With the right kind of student, asynchronous tutoring is great.

Anyone need any Calculus tutoring? Wink

Have you looked into homeschool sites? lotsd f homeschoolers actually don't like math and could prolly use the help. I am not sure which ones would have what rules on leaving your link but most have 'stickies' of lists of sites.

Our local homeschoolers have support groups & websites. I've contacted them directly & have set up great knitting classes with the kids (and many of the parents) They are usually waiting for "experts" to cross their paths.

It's homeschooling sites that I've started looking into. I have been added to two already, since submitting my site last night. At this point, I'm not available for in-home tutoring, so I have to find places that will take a listing for online tutoring. I'm hoping to find people whose kids are older and working on the higher levels of math. The distance tutoring I've done thus far has been very conventient for me, and I'd like to do some more of it. It takes the right kind of student to benefit from it - those who are really struggling need the one-on-one in person, in a solid chunk of time, from my experience. But those that just need some questions cleared up here and there, or need to have their work looked over as sort of a checking in process, do very well with the distance tutoring.
