Comparing food spending

January 31st, 2005 at 08:19 pm

Thought I'd compare money spent at grocery stores versus money spent at restaurants for January:

Grocery stores: $326
Restaurants: $131

Wow. Especially considering how many meals each total represents. We could shave off one nice meal ($20-$30) and buy quite a lot of nice groceries instead. Instead of going out for sub sandwiches with DD and DH (at a cost of about $16) I could buy fixings, make some pesto, find a geat bread, and probably get two or three lunches out of it. This is where my laziness factor comes in.

Something for me to think about.

And just for fun...
Starbucks: $29.55
