overcoming the urge to spend

August 17th, 2004 at 11:14 pm

I have had the urge to buy stuff lately - small stuff, stuff we don't really need. I think I'm getting past it though. After going out to buy more milk and toothpaste, DD I went to two other store but walked out without buying anything. So even if the urge to spend money is sometimes there, at least now not only can I sense that it's creeping up out of some other need, but I can talk myself through it. I don't need special under-eye dark circle concealer when regular concealer will do just fine. And that's not even the issue - the real issue is that I'm feeling super ugly these days and need a decent haircut and some time out in the sunshine. No miracle dark circle concealer can make up for those things.
