Just one day later, 3 of my 4 auctions have bids and are up over $18 already. yea! I haven't listed my last lot of stamps, but I ought to do it, since these others appear to be successful.
DH gets paid every two weeks, so some months we get an "extra" check now. Between that, and a check received from some freelance work, we have almost enough right there to cover our dog's bill. It appears our savings are preserved for another day.
I got a phone call yesterday from the mom of a former tutoring student. She wants her daughter to come see me again this year, so that brings me up to four students. I think each will come once a week, too. I am going to call all of these families in a couple of weeks and get my schedule put together.
